Anse Bleue | Precision Lifting & Ferry Refit at Martinique Shipyard

⚓ A 30-ton aluminium ferry, a 250-ton crane and a carefully planned lifting operation. Go behind the scenes at Martinique Shipyard as Anse Bleue, a passenger ferry operated by Blue Lines, is lifted ashore for a five-week maintenance and refit programme. The operation required specialist lifting equipment and a dedicated rigging arrangement to keep the vessel balanced throughout the manoeuvre. The refit programme includes: • Renewal and modification of the fender system. • Modifications to the engine cooling water intakes and cooling system. • Rudder removal and inspection. • Shaft line and bearing clearance inspections. • Modifications to the aft passenger platforms. • Complete hull surface preparation and repainting.
