Contact Patch: Metzler K3 on the BMW S1000RR

Metzler isn't the first brand that comes to mind for sportbikes, but their K3 is the OEM tire on the new BMW S1000RR. The sweet '16 in this video had a whopping 4 miles on it and the tires to start the day. The K3 is Metzler's version of a dual purpose street and trackday tire. Down under they even use it as a race tire (but they also eat Vegemite, so...). Being treaded it makes tire reading very demonstrable, for which we are grateful. www.DaveMossTuning.com
