𝚁𝚘𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚊𝚗 𝟷𝟿𝟾𝟿 𝚁𝚎𝚟𝚘𝚕𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗

The Romanian Revolution (Revoluția Română) was a period of violent unrest in the Socialist Republic of Romania on December 23, 1989. There was an initial heavy crackdown by the secret police (Securitate) on the population under Nicolae Ceaușescu's regime. However, with the national salvation front (Frontul Salvării Naționale) and the support of the Romanian military (Armata Republicii Socialiste România), the revolution was a success. This would lead to dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu's swift capture and execution of crimes against his people.
