Learning to Drive: Can she Drive Independently Without Help?

Learning to drive is about more than following instructions — it's about making safe decisions, anticipating hazards and becoming an independent driver. In this third and final video of our three-part driving lesson series, we put the previous lessons into practice. After the mock test and the follow-up lessons working on mistakes, it's time to see how much progress has been made. I'm giving the learner more responsibility for making decisions, tackling familiar roundabouts and navigating the roads with less help from me. 🚗 In this driving lesson, you'll see: • Approaching busy roundabouts and judging safe gaps. • Choosing the right speed to give yourself more thinking time. • Improving road positioning and steering around parked vehicles. • Reading road signs and markings to plan your route. • Anticipating pedestrians, oncoming traffic and other hazards. • Learning to look at the space you want to drive into, rather than fixating on approaching vehicles. • Making independent decisions with less instructor input. • Reviewing progress and identifying what still needs work. One of the biggest challenges for a learner driver is managing everything happening around them while keeping the car in the correct position.
