Joy is an essential part of our walk with God. Israel rejoiced after experiencing God’s great deliverance, but Scripturewarns that losing our joy can affect our relationship with Him. The challenges and burdens of life can weigh us down, butour joy is rooted in the salvation we have received from God. Hebrews 12:1–2 reminds us of Jesus, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him. We are not called to serve God inorder to obtain joy; through Christ, we have received a great salvation, and we are called to serve Him with joy.
