How much can an RV roof really handle? In this video, we take a closer look at Impact Guard and put its puncture and shatter resistance to the test—with a golf ball rifle. From hail and falling branches to getting a little too close to that tree, RV roofs take a beating. Impact Guard aims to address one of the biggest causes of roof leaks: damage that punctures the roof. That doesn’t make a roof leakproof. Preventing damage is only half the battle—seams, seals, and installation still matter. But protecting the roof material itself is a step in the right direction. Impact Guard can be retrofitted to a wide range of existing RV roofs or used to replace conventional roofing materials. Several manufacturers are already using it, with more exploring and prototyping applications. I think this could be a meaningful step forward for the RV industry.
