Aldehydes and Ketones nucleophilic addition reaction 1-Addition with Ammonia

This video deals with Aldehydes and ketones nucleophilic addition reaction-addition with ammonia. This reaction takes place in two steps. In the first step an addition product is formed. This product later loses a molecule of water & hence the reaction is now can also be called as condensation reaction. The final product obtained in this process is an imine. Both aldehydes & ketones will undergo this reaction in a similar way forming corresponding imines.
