Join me at Merrie Monarch 2026

Join me as I sing for the Merrie Monarch Hula Festivals 2026! I still got a couple videos that I’m putting together to post with a lot of what we did while we were in Hilo town a couple weeks ago! I usually film myself and my posts are generally a shot of myself with thoughts in my head being captioned on screen in a play-by-play fashion, so this one I just HAD to get. What a friggen moment! We were given the opportunity to shine and I think we did just that! Mahalo nui to Kumu Kau’i Kamana’o & Kunewa Mook for taking a chance and allowing us to be a part of this beautiful display of Aloha and honor for not only a pretty mountain in Na Pali on our home Island of Kaua’i, but also in honor of my Ohana. My cousin @moanikkoka ON stage and my aunty @mzjonee2 beside us. Like my sister @momilanimartins said…. We do what we can to be there for each other…. 14 deep we was, in that historic stadium … making our mark in the Merrie Monarch books! Wow 🤯 To be asked to sing for the biggest event in Hula is already so so cool…. Representing your family as a vocalist for one of the biggest names in Hula community. Wild. To be asked to sing someone else’s song and try to make em pretty with the talent you have, humbling…. BUT to be asked as a group to go for our very first time to sing an ORIGINAL song from Ka’i to Ho’i?! Unbelievable! My NT @mzjonee2 be swinging for the fences lately… only up from here! 😎 As I sing wearing my grandmother’s Ni’ihau Shell Lei, I think of everything we’ve gone through and where we are now. History, nobody can take this away from us, we DID that 🎶🫶🏽 I kept the camera rolling on my walk back to the musicians area and there’s some cool cameo’s from some of the big dawgs with some sweet words of encouragement! 🤓🎶 Mahalo for all the love, support & inquiries about the song “Kamaile”….. I would like to announce that we are all booked up to fly off island to RECORD and RELEASE this song with the help of one of the best! Stick around and follow @oiwimusic for updates and infos! @bronsonaiwohi_ @johnmahimusic #youareloved #hawaiimusician #merriemonarch26 #kamaile #hulahalauokamuela
