Performed in Old Norse, with lyrics inspired by Eddic poetry and ancient Scandinavian traditions, the album blends ferocious guitars, haunting atmospheres, ancestral chants, ritualistic drums, and Nordic folk elements. Across nine compositions, DRAUNGAR takes listeners on a journey through honour, blood, fate, sacrifice, and rebirth. At the heart of SIGRÚNAR lies a question: What is the true meaning of victory when keeping your word demands the sacrifice of a part of yourself? From the bond of trust between Týr and Fenrir to the sacrifice that echoes through eternity, each track represents a fragment of a greater story about courage in the face of the inevitable.
