Cecilia Ensemble: Haec Dies by W. Byrd

Cecilia Ensemble sings William Byrd's "Haec Dies", recorded live in concert on 1 December 2025. William Byrd (c.1540-1623) was the greatest English composer of his age, and a Catholic writing sacred Latin music in a Protestant country. "Haec dies" sets the Easter gradual - "This is the day which the Lord hath made" - in six voices.
