QR SMU264/SMU 276 on the Ekka Loop train + trainspotting at Exhibition Station (15 August 2026)

Today I went on the Ekka loop line (the electric train) because I anticipated the Electric Tilt Train to arrive into the Exhibition station at around 10am because Queensland Rail advertised on their website that the train would arrive at Exhibition station on every day of the Ekka except for the 9 August and the Ekka People's Day holiday. Unfortunately, for a reason that remains unknown to me, this never happened. But at least I got to see the Diesel Tilt Train pass through Exhibition station, I got to go on a pretty quirky SMU unit (SMU264 and SMU276 are my favourite SMU260 units now because they have those ETCS boxes) and I also got to see the Electric Tilt Train (for Rockhampton) depart from Roma Street towards Exhibition station.
