Teutoburg Forest by E-Bike | Journey to Externsteine – Part 1

Welcome to something a little different from Chill Cycles! We’ve swapped the flat cycle paths of Amsterdam for the forests, farmland and HILLS of Germany. In Part 1 of our cycling adventure, we set off from our cabin near Horsterbruch and head through the beautiful Teutoburg Forest (Teutoburger Wald). Along the way we crisscross farmland, forest trails, quiet neighbourhoods and main roads, with plenty of ups and downs that we're definitely not used to back home! Our route takes us through Hiddesen before we roll into Heiligenkirchen for a very welcome caffeine and sugar stop at Bäckerei Biere. And this is only halfway… Join us again next Sunday for Part 2, when we get back on the bikes and head towards the incredible Externsteine.
