Kyle Fleming on USVI Energy: Policy, WAPA, Technology, Electric Vehicles & Workforce Development

In this episode of the GSI Podcast, Dr. Wayne Archibald sits down with Kyle Fleming, Director of the Virgin Islands Energy Office, for an in-depth conversation connecting his personal journey with the Territory’s most pressing energy challenges. From the policies shaping the energy transition to programmes available to VI residents, the discussion explores what progress means for households, businesses, and communities. They also examine WAPA’s role, the challenges of affordability and reliability, and the relationship between long-term planning and the everyday experience of keeping the lights on. At its heart, this conversation asks a larger question: How can the Virgin Islands turn its energy ambitions into lasting improvements in people’s lives? #GSIPodcast #KyleFleming #USVI #VirginIslands #VIEnergyOffice #EnergyPolicy #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy #EnergyResilience #EnergyAffordability #WAPA #CaribbeanEnergy #gsi_skn
