Evening Traffic at The Iron Triangle, Fostoria, OH and Deshler, OH (8/24/25)

Don’t you love a good last second railfanning trip? That’s what me and good friend did on this late summer Sunday evening. We picked a good time to go as the traffic through the Iron Triangle was pretty steady. Even an empty coal train (CSX E506) showed its face heading straight thru town southbound on the former C&O. There’s only a few trains a day that go straight through north or south at Fostoria so that was a nice treat. Then we headed west down Route 18 to Deshler for a few trains after dark, where there was yet another empty coal train from Toledo. This one being CSX E886 heading down to Corbin, KY.
