Volley Crossbow got massively buffed in the recent patch and yet, just like before, nobody cares (i think) - yet at this point it just became ridiculous. It reaches ONE volley BODYshot vs all specials (except banner) WITHOUT BARRAGE - so you have perfect special sniping bps and ammo sustain at the same time. This damage buff also made the previous issue of damage drop-off less of a thing, and especially the barrage setup has very nice effective range now. Simultaneously, they massively buffed accuracy of single shot making it actually useful for special sniping and ammo sustain. Volley also got it's vertical spread reduced so it's even easier to snipe long range specials and getting even 2 headshot on very long range is now a possibility, while making it trivially easy on close range - this also greatly buffs ammo sustain with conservative shooter. Amazing damage, fire rate, and accuracy - people still won't play it though. Anyway, the run is my new record: 1st time to succeed at 15/45 setting + done in relatively quickly and without any (imo) glaring speedrunning. I did get lucky in some spots, especially with loot spawns, but there were a few rough bad rng moments too. Overall, very satisfying way to return to vermintide after a short break.
