How many times are you going to tell yourself you're going to do something—and not do it?
After a while, we can start turning those experiences into judgments about ourselves: I'm lazy. I procrastinate. I'm undisciplined. I don't have enough willpower.
But what if we're asking the wrong question?
Instead of asking “What's wrong with me?” what happens if we ask “What got in the way?”
In Week 3 of Turning Good Intentions Into Consistent Action, we're going inside the intention–action gap—the space between what we genuinely intend to do and what we actually do.
We'll look at how planning, organization, attention, getting started, managing emotions, delaying gratification, and persistence can affect our ability to follow through.
This isn't about making excuses or avoiding responsibility. It's about understanding the exact nature of the problem so we can work on the right thing.
This week:
Stop judging the gap. Start investigating it.
