Begin your journey here: https://bit.ly/SecretPlaceDevotional --- HOW TO PRAY GOD'S WORD — 5 PRACTICAL STEPS | E.W. KENYON Do you read the Bible regularly but sometimes struggle to know how to turn what you read into effective, Scripture-grounded prayer? There is a difference between reading a promise in God's Word and learning to pray that promise back to Him. In this teaching, we explore five practical steps for praying God's Word, drawing on biblical principles and themes from E.W. Kenyon's The Wonderful Name of Jesus and In His Presence. The message begins with a courtroom illustration: a lawyer cannot build a case on feelings alone but must bring the written law. In the same way, this teaching encourages believers to ground their prayers in what God has actually said. THE FIVE PRACTICAL STEPS 1. Start with what God has said, not what you feel. Identify your need, find a relevant Scripture, examine its context, write it down, and speak it aloud. 2. Settle that it is His will. Learn to distinguish promises clearly given in Scripture from personal decisions that require wisdom, prayer, peace, and godly counsel. 3. Put Him in remembrance. Bring God's Word back to Him in your own words. Use the simple pattern: “You said. I need. I ask. I thank You.” 4. Pray in the name of Jesus and receive. Understand the significance of Jesus' name in prayer and the importance of receiving God's promises through faith rather than depending on feelings. 5. Stand on the Word and act on it. Keep the promise before you, hold fast to your confession, give thanks, and take practical steps that agree with what you have prayed. A PRACTICAL SEVEN-DAY EXERCISE The teaching concludes with a seven-day practice to help you put these principles into action, using one need and one Scripture promise at a time. You will also see how all five steps work together in a practical prayer based on 2 Timothy 1:7. SCRIPTURES EXPLORED Isaiah 43:26 Psalm 119:49, 105 John 15:7 James 1:5 1 John 5:14–15 2 Corinthians 1:20 Hebrews 10:19–23 John 14:13–14 Mark 11:24 Ephesians 6:13 Isaiah 55:11 James 1:22 2 Timothy 1:7 This teaching does not present prayer as a magic formula or suggest that every personal desire is a guaranteed promise. It emphasizes understanding Scripture in context, seeking wisdom where the Bible does not specify an answer, and continuing to take responsible action.
