We might owe Michigan an apology. One week after barely surviving Western Michigan, the Wolverines turned around and beat No. 11 Oklahoma 17-10 — and suddenly the conversation around this team feels completely different. Michigan still wasn’t perfect. The offense only produced 263 total yards, the running backs struggled, and 11 penalties nearly became a major problem. But Bryce Underwood’s legs gave the offense a new dimension, the Wolverines protected the football, and the defense held Oklahoma to just 10 points. So now we have to ask the question: Could Michigan actually be a dangerous College Football Playoff sleeper? In this video, we break down what Michigan changed from Week 1, how Oklahoma adjusted after halftime, why the Wolverines’ defense might be good enough to carry them while the offense develops, and what this win could do for Michigan’s confidence moving forward. We also look at the biggest concerns that still need to be fixed — because Penn State, Oregon, Ohio State and the rest of the Big Ten aren’t going to make this easy. Michigan fans: did this Oklahoma win change your opinion of this team? Are the Wolverines a legitimate playoff sleeper, or do you still need to see more from the offense? Drop your take below.
