38 Years Of Residue! Fuel Rail Rebuild & New Injectors!

The 1988 Corvette is finally getting the correct fuel injectors! But before installing them, I decided to completely disassemble and rebuild the original 38-year-old fuel rail. I'm glad I did! After finding dirt, old fuel deposits, and contamination inside the fuel rail, I knew taking the extra time to clean everything properly was the right decision. In this video, I'll show you how I disassemble and clean the factory Tuned Port Injection (TPI) fuel rail, replace the O-rings, install a new Standard fuel pressure regulator, and fit the correct Accel fuel injectors. I'll also explain why I refused to use the incorrect injectors that were sent previously. When you're working on a customer's car, taking unnecessary chances isn't worth it. This is all part of getting this classic 1988 Chevrolet Corvette running the way it should!
