Ramayana Review (Part 1) - I Wasn't Ready

My Ramayana review is here — and I was NOT ready for this one. In this spoiler-free Ramayana: Part 1 review, I break down my first-ever experience watching an Indian epic — the scale, the spectacle, the culture — and where it lands on my super sophisticated 5-star rating system. Ramayana: Part One (Rise of a Legend) is director Nitesh Tiwari’s massive two-part adaptation of the legendary Indian epic, produced by Namit Malhotra. Ranbir Kapoor stars as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as the demon king Ravana, with an original score by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Released worldwide on November 5, 2026, it’s one of the most ambitious Indian productions ever made, with Part Two set for 2028.
