Meltopia Gameplay | Just One More Dig… My OCD Took Over! $5 Steam Indie Find

Today we are jumping into Meltopia, a relaxing snow-melting Steam indie game that pulled me into the classic trap of saying, “just one more dig…” about 500 times. In this episode, I played for about 40 minutes and used the 5-minute autosave as a built-in time check so I would not lose a ton of progress if I froze again. It actually worked really well for keeping me aware of the episode length while still letting me enjoy the game. My OCD kicked in hard during this one. I started clearing snow around the mine shaft entrances because apparently I could not just walk past it like a normal person. I even joked that sometimes my OCD is so bad it becomes CDO, because the letters need to be in alphabetical order. You know… the correct way. 😂 During the episode, I made it to the area where I could use the hook, found a fast travel point, and unlocked an easier way to go back and forth to the main area. I stopped right before upgrading, which gives us a clean setup for the next episode where we can go deeper into Meltopia. I also mention that this game is currently under $5 on Steam during the Summer Sale, and honestly, for the price, I think it is a good buy so far. There is also a DLC combo under $10 with music and skins, but I skipped that for now since I mostly wanted the base game. Since the 4th of July is tomorrow, I also wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Independence Day.
