V-Rising Castle Tour: The Blood Manor & Gardens of the Damned

The Blood Manor & Gardens of the Damned is my biggest build yet, taking somewhere between 30–40 hours of design time. The theme for this one started with wanting to create something haunted and Halloween-themed as we head towards October, and I thought The Cursed Forest, with its thick fog and eerie atmosphere, would be the perfect place to build it. I started with the gardens, and as anyone who has built in V Rising knows, placing paths and hedges is always a slow process. But it eventually came together exactly as I'd envisioned: creepy, eerie and just a little unsettling. I went with a grey and light green colour palette, filling the grounds with statues, banshee's, skeletons, ghouls and plenty of fog to give the whole place that haunted feeling. Originally, I'd planned to carry that ghostly, haunted theme into the castle itself, with a pale, almost spectral white interior. Unfortunately, it just wasn't working the way I'd imagined, so I decided to take things in a very different direction. Red! Horror. Murder. Blood. And so the Blood Manor was born. This is the home of a dark Blood Lord and his cult, where the living are brought into the castle, imprisoned and ultimately sacrificed to feed the rituals that keep this place alive. While the gardens are haunted by the dead, the castle itself tells a much darker story, one of blood worship and murder. Some of my favourite areas of the build are The Gardens of the Damned, The Blood-Stained Sanctuary, The Blood Offering Fountain, The Inner Crypt and the hidden Castle Heart, along with the overall look of the castle from the outside, surrounded by Bloodrose and glowing red light. It's always hard to really show all of the attention to detail in a video, but it's definitely the little things in a build that can make the biggest impact. There are a lot of little details hidden throughout this one, so I hope you enjoy exploring the Blood Manor as much as I enjoyed building it. I did use a few items from DLC's in this build but the overall look would still be easy to achieve even without them. Thank you for entering my little nightmare.
