A full unedited match of Carbon Line, a 3D real-time strategy game that runs in a browser tab. No commentary — just the game.
Three days ago I posted an update saying fighters fly a strafing run at a base: straight in, over the roof, out far enough to turn, and back from a different angle. Then I measured it. The leg that flies out was a circle — the aim point was being rebuilt every frame from the ship's own heading, which is a turn command, not a destination. It could never finish: 0 of 38 outbound legs ended by distance. Every one of them ended on a timeout.
This match runs on the build that fixes it, and a lot of what was hiding behind it.
Shots used to be drawn by stretching a bar from the shooter to the target. Nothing travelled. A round is nine units long at any range now and moves at a speed taken from the weapon's reach, so a shot fired at the edge of a gun's envelope visibly takes longer to arrive. A shell is sized by the damage it carries, so the flagship's siege cannon no longer looks like a rifle, and missiles leave a trail of smoke that stays where they passed.
The bot also gets the formation system the player got last week. Until now the player was holding a weapon the enemy could not answer.
