Solo Hike in Malaga, Spain | Sierra de Tejeda

About the Hike In April 2023, I went on my first solo trip to Malaga, Spain, where I hiked for three days in the beautiful Sierra de Tejeda mountain range. Starting from Canillas de Aceituno, I headed North East up the mountain until sunset. On the second day, I reached La Maroma, the highest peak of the mountain range at an altitude of 2069m, and continued Eastwards along the peaks. The views were breathtaking, with colourful farms to the North in Granada, and the Alboran Sea to the South. On the final day, I headed South, down from the mountain, and arrived at my destination, El Acebuchal. This charming village is associated with “the Lost Village” due to its rich but tragic history.
