Sanctuary of Stone | 1 hr ambient fingerstyle on BEAUTIFUL carbon fiber guitar | James R. Thomas

Warm greetings Youtube Family! I have had the absolute pleasure recently of working with Enya guitars, who extremely kindly sent me this beautiful carbon fiber Enya X4 Pro to try out! To be transparent, I am not endorsed or obliged to say positive things but my real impression of the guitar is hugely positive! Like a lot of guitarists, I had my doubts about the sound of a carbon fiber guitar - thinking that it would sound tinny and lack the depth and resonance of wood. But I have to say, I was really pleasantly proven otherwise; this guitar has a great tone, is extremely smooth to play and as a result really inspired some new sounds and this piece 'Layers of the Earth'. I was really excited to find somewhere fitting for the black aesthetic of the guitar itself, how to still weave that into nature and to get out recording somewhere beautiful. So this is where I was very fortunate to find some dark beach rocks around North Devon to set up and delve into that carbon-rock relationship.
