Exploring Tokyo Kitchenware District [4K] Kappabashi

At the very end of my trip to Japan last year, as I was getting ready to leave and looking for gifts to bring home, I visited the Kappabashi district. This is the best place in Japan to get custom made japanese steel knives, and other cooking utensils. As I waited for my knives to be finished, I went for a walk around the district, to explore the many shops filled with all kinds of kitchen goods and appliances. The neighbourhood is usually represented by the mythical river deity, the Kappa, its mascot, which figures prominently in shop stickers and everywhere around the area.
