Hospital in the Home services are increasingly involved in the management of these patients, however many services face ongoing challenges regarding patient selection, duration of care, escalation pathways, and practical day-to-day management. In this session, Dr Siming Lu and Dr Stephen Dang will provide both the obstetric and HITH perspectives on caring for patients with HG outside the traditional hospital setting. The session will explore: Which patients are appropriate for HITH involvement Clinical considerations and red flags requiring escalation Pharmacological and non-pharmacological management approaches Practical challenges associated with prolonged HITH admissions Real-world experience delivering HG care through HITH What an ideal collaborative HG-HITH model may look like This session will be highly relevant to HITH clinicians, nursing staff, obstetric teams, and health service leaders involved in delivering acute care in the home.
