January left us short of our goal. February brings a new plan: wood transport. Welcome back to Episode 7 of our Farming Simulator 25 Rags to Riches challenge! We’ve bought a wood trailer and grapple to find out whether hauling logs can get our farm back on track. Buying field 82 instead of 81 has delayed our starter farm plans, and waiting for the lime problem to disappear hasn’t helped. Now it’s time to earn our way out of that mistake. First, we have to learn how to load the trailer. Then we test whether collecting and selling logs from a deadwood contract is worth the extra effort. After struggling with the load and getting just $144 from that sale, the wood transport contracts become the real turning point. By the end-of-episode review, combined deadwood and wood transport contract income is roughly $68,000 in half an in-game day—compared with roughly $32,000 from the previous day’s plowing jobs. Those are contract income figures, before expenses, but the difference is enough to put our next steps within reach. 🌾 EPISODE 7 PROGRESS ✓ Bought a wood trailer and grapple ✓ Worked through the challenges of loading and hauling logs ✓ Tested selling wood collected from a deadwood contract ✓ Earned roughly $68,000 in combined deadwood and wood transport contract income ✓ Reached a reported $105,000 balance during the episode ✓ Repaired and cleaned the equipment before wrapping up Next episode’s plan: buy the next field and begin our starter farm build with a greenhouse, bunker silo, and the trailers needed to support greenhouse production.
