Review of the Staedtler Pastel Pencils Design Journey Range : 12 Set of Staedtler Pastel Pencils

Review of the Staedtler Pastel Pencils Design Journey Range : 12 Set of Staedtler Pastel Pencils A while back, I was incredibly fortunate to have Staedtler send me out a few of their products from the Staedtler Design Journey Range, a range aimed toward students of art. In this review we are a detailed and honest look at the Staedtler Pastel Pencils, testing and demonstrating the Staedtler Pastel Pencils of various paper types. Not everyone likes pastels, many artists don't like the mess they can generate or the feel of the chalky dust on their hands, however, they still admire, as do I, the beautiful art created by pastel artists the world over. Pastel pencils are a fantastic way for any artist or hobbyist to dip their toes into the pastel medium. Pastel pencils, whilst still producing pastel dust, do so on a much smaller quantity, plus the pencil format prevents the user from direct contact with the hands. As with all art supplies, pastels can be an expensive medium to learn, so a set such as the Staedtler Pastel Pencils is a wonderful place for any artist to dip their toes into the medium, without spending huge sums of money, only to discover pastels may not be the medium for them. In this review we cover all aspects of the pastel medium and in particular the Staedtler Pastel Pencils. You can of course support the channel by simply watching my videos to the end, reading and viewing the content on The Art Gear Guide and leaving comments along with likes, all for free, you have nothing at all to give and in return and I am constantly giving away amazing art sets, free giveaways open to everyone no matter where you live in the world, I pay for postage. If you would like to support the channel financially, of which all money goes back into buying art supplies to review and improving the production value etc, you can subscribe to my Patreon Channel. For as little as $2 a month you get access to many tutorials, colored pencils, marker, watercolor, pastel, mixed media etc. You can of course subscribe more than $2 a month, as much as $15 per month, but that is up to each individual and I set it at $2 because I wouldn’t everyone to gain access. Ive not added a tutorial in the past few months but I am working on a fantastic Absolute Beginners Guide to colored pencil artists and this has been so widely requested. Finally, if you would like to follow my day to day personal life and get to know me and my family a bit better, you can click the links below and follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, I also have a Threads and TikTok which if you are on those platforms I’d love to see you over there. I am always adding work in progress images of the art projects I’m working on, photos and video clips of my Siberian Husky Koda and occasionally my family.
