Some loads are so heavy, wide or awkward that ordinary trucks, cranes and transport systems simply can’t move them.
In this video, we look at 15 incredible machines built specifically to transport the impossible — from modular transporters and giant shipyard movers to bridge carriers, aerospace transport systems, wind-turbine haulers and other extreme heavy-lift machines.
These machines are designed to move enormous structures, industrial modules, aircraft, bridges, energy equipment and other loads weighing hundreds or even thousands of tonnes.
For each one, we look at what it was built to move, how the weight is distributed, how it steers and stays stable, and why normal transport equipment would never be enough.
Some use dozens of independently steered axle lines. Others spread extreme loads across huge platforms or move entire structures as one piece.
If you enjoy giant machines, extreme engineering, heavy transport and machinery built for jobs that seem impossible, this video is for you.
