Formed in 1969 following the dissolution of The Small Faces and the departure of Jeff Beck from his group, the band solidified their reputation as a high-energy live act. The classic lineup featured Rod Stewart (lead vocals), Ronnie Wood (guitar), Ronnie Lane (bass, vocals), Ian McLagan (keyboards), and Kenney Jones (drums). Their catalog remains a staple of classic rock radio, with their studio output frequently cited by critics as a primary influence on the development of both punk rock and the roots-rock movement. The band defined a loose, raw, and unpretentious sound characterized by Stewart’s raspy, emotive delivery and the interplay between Wood’s slide guitar and Lane’s melodic bass lines. This approach provided a stark contrast to the polished progressive rock dominating the early 1970s, favoring barroom camaraderie and spontaneous studio performances. *Ooh La La*, released in 1973, stands as their final studio effort, following the commercial success of *A Nod Is as Good as a Wink... to a Blind Horse*, which achieved Gold status in the United States and reached the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. This upload presents the full Ooh La La album, including the title track, "Silicone Grown," and "Glad and Sorry." The record captures the band at a transitional stage, balancing hard-driving rock numbers with the folk-inflected songwriting that defined their later years.
