ਕਰਵਾ ਚੌਥ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਵੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੂਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦੈ। ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ ਕਰੂਆ / ਕਰਵਾ ਚੌਥ ਦਾ ਵਰਤ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਵਹਿਮ ਐ ਪਰ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਅੰਗ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਐ। ਕਰਵਾ ਚੋਥ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਸੰਦੇਹਾਂ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਘ ਦੇਕੇ ਟੁੱਕ ਮੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਇਸੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਕਰਵੇ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਨੂੰ ਹਲਕਾ ਫੁਲਕਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਵਰਤ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ ਐ। ਆਓ ਸੁਣੀਏ ਕਰੂਏ ਦੀ ਬਾਤ। Karwa Chauth is called Karwa in the Malwa.
