Raga Sampooran Malkauns | Ustad Shujaat Hussain Khan & Ustad Tari Khan [Live in Lahore (1996) ]

A space devoted to music, philosophy, art, and experimentation, SIPA has for decades brought together some of the finest artists and thinkers from Pakistan and beyond. This session brings together two masters of Hindustani classical music, Ustad Shujaat Hussain Khan on sitar and Ustad Tari Khan on tabla. Their meeting offers a rare opportunity to experience the depth, spontaneity, and dialogue of two extraordinary musicians performing together in an intimate setting. Recorded at the Sanjan Nagar Institute of Philosophy & Arts (SIPA), 13 Gulberg, Lahore, this performance is a celebration of the classical musical tradition and the enduring artistry of two distinguished Ustads. We hope this recording introduces their music to new listeners and offers longtime admirers an opportunity to revisit a memorable musical encounter.
