Hey, thank you in advance for taking the time to read this, I'm not exactly a good writer nor do I have a good ability to express my emotions through writing but, this game means a lot to me and I wanted to write a sort of introspective of my journey with this game and what it means to me. Firstly, thank you to my friend Benny for making the thumbnail for this video. Secondly, its been a long, six'ish years now that i have been playing this game consistently every single day, not for long but always at least one game. I think Valorant has done a lot for me not only as a gamer but as person as a whole. This is the first game ever where i didn't just dump mindless and meaningless hours into but genuinely tried to learn every aspect of from mechanics to niche map interactions with agent utility. I think this is what has made it such significant part of my journey as a gamer. After learning Valorant and how to aim, every single fps I've played has felt so easy to start. this isn't to say Valorant is inherently harder than other fps, just that once you've learned how to improve at something that knowledge never goes away and improving at anything in your life becomes so... simple. I've even gone back to overwatch 2, a game I had never been higher than plat in and I had a collective 30-40 hours on pc, and I placed into masters even getting to high masters in less than a fraction of the time I'd spent on console just desperately smashing my head into the ranked wall for 1500 hours. I think this journey as a whole made me better as a whole as well. Whenever I used to play games I just hated losing so much it made me genuinely miserable I'd flame my teammates every game and losing a close game hurt me more than anything on this earth. Though I won't say all these things have gone away completely they are soothed by learning how truly bad I am and how much better i can get. I think it put everything in to this perspective of if I were just better or as good as i think i am then I should be able to carry this game regardless of all these factors. All in all i think thinking in this way has made me just a happier person in general when it comes to gaming. All this to say Valorant means a lot to me and no matter how long its been since i have last played I'll always look at it fondly. Thank you so much for being the catalyst for my journey, and though I have a Long way to go before being considered good in any capacity I'll always appreciate what you've done for me Thumbnail by https://bsky.app/profile/benoyroma.ne... please commission him he's the best I promise.
