The Wuthering Waves community has been accused of being one of the most toxic communities in gacha, but what happens when you actually look at the criticism being directed at the game itself? From vague complaints about the story to accusations of AI usage and the endless discourse surrounding Xuanfang, it feels like Wuthering Waves can never catch a break. In this video, we're talking about how the conversation surrounding Xuanfang went from legitimate criticism of Wuthering Waves' storytelling into what I believe has become one of the dumbest hate campaigns in the gacha space. Because while there are genuine flaws worth discussing, there's a massive difference between criticizing a game and simply looking for reasons to hate it. We'll discuss the problems with the Xuanfang story, the lack of meaningful criticism surrounding Wuthering Waves' characters, the controversy surrounding Lynae, and the double standards that seem to emerge whenever this game does something right.
