Federal Electric Type 5 | Puyallup, WA (4/2/12)

Decided I would re-upload the siren videos from PugetSoundStormWatch. This is a 1940's Coded Federal Electric Model 5 located at Fire Station #3 in downtown Puyallup. As you can hear, it sounds lower pitched than it should be. This is due to it having rusted bearings and worn brushes in the motor, which is also responsible for the abrupt wind down and slight change in timbre. Recorded on April 2, 2012 with an older Nikon camera that I borrowed from my stepbrother. Sirens heard in the background include a Whelen WS-3000 down the street and 2 Modulator 6048's in the northwestern portion of the city.
