California Mayor EXPOSED as FBI Plays Her SECRET TAPES to the Jury

Former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao is on trial in federal court, and the FBI’s evidence is stacking up fast. In this video I break down the receipts prosecutors have shown the jury in the bribery and corruption trial of Thao, her partner Andre Jones, and California Waste Solutions owners David and Andy Duong. The FBI’s lead agent took the stand and walked the jury through it all: The WhatsApp chat found in a secret iCloud warrant. It lays out an alleged pay-to-play deal: $75,000 for attack mailers and $40,000 for websites, in exchange for Oakland buying 300 container homes at $300,000 each. That’s $90 million. Recordings of Thao herself, including a 2019 call where she appears to help the trash company argue it didn’t owe Oakland residents a refund, using info from a closed-door meeting. “Better start acting right.” Andy Duong on tape, talking about the mayor. Texts about Thao’s power being shut off and rent not getting paid until a check came from the Duong family. A $95,000 “no-show job” for her boyfriend, a luxury flight to Vietnam, and a $10,000 payment prosecutors say was meant to stop a news story. And the craziest part? The whole case started because a printer didn’t get paid. The defense says there’s no tape of a bribe and the Duongs never got the contracts. Prosecutors say trying to make a pay-to-play deal is a crime even if it falls apart.
