Also known as the Land of Eternal Youth, it is a place where no one ever grows old. Fairies that love to sing and dance live in bliss in this land of green meadows and colorful flowers. The myths of "Tir Na Nog", also known as the Island of Illusions, have been handed down through the numerous folktales and legends that abound in Ireland. Time supposedly passes thousands of times more slowly in "Tir Na Nog" than it does in the human world, "Tir Na Nog" three years spent in this mythical realm is rumored to be as long as several hundred years in the human world. Also known as the "island of the living" or the "island of the victors" inhabited by deities that are forever young, "Tir Na Nog" has also been imagined as a paradise beyond the seas where humans have wandered into through lakes. This piece seeks to portray these various representations of "Tir Na Nog".
