Weekend escape to Old Mission Peninsula

Our summer weekend escape to Old Mission Peninsula, also called Peninsula Township. This is a magical land of wineries and cherry gardens, only a few only few minutes from the vibrant Traverse City, surrounded by the beautiful Grand Traverse Bay of lake Michigan. We enjoyed the beautiful viewpoint, welcoming Inn and a wine tasting at Chateau Chantal winery and inn. Swam in the turquoise water at the old mission peninsula lighthouse park with the Mission point lighthouse. A must stop to be mentioned is the old mission general store, with 180 years of continuous service.
