I Go To Pieces - Peter And Gordon (Capitol-Starline Vinyl 1964/67-69?) USA

Composed by Del Shannon, of "Runaway" & "Hats Off To Larry" fame, this was Peter & Gordon's first single to not be written by Paul McCartney, but a hit nonetheless. The single was released in Britain on the 20th of November, 1964 on the Columbia label, while in America it would be released on the Capitol label a month later. This copy, however, is a reissue from between 1967 & 1969. At the time, "The Star Line", Capitol's budget label for reissues, was renamed "Starline", & given a new "target" paint scheme. Two years later, Starline would once again receive a makeover, this time with gold coloured labels & a new Capitol logo, without the iconic dome. Played on an Audio-Technica AT-LP60.
