J-COLE - POSITIVE DELUSION

"Positive Delusion" is a philosophical, late-night conscious hip-hop track inspired by the storytelling of J. Cole. Set against warm Fender Rhodes piano, fingerpicked acoustic guitar, and a steady boom-bap rhythm, the song tackles a unique mindset: choosing to believe in your future when there’s no physical proof yet—and why pessimism isn't automatically more "realistic" just because it expects the worst. The narrator honestly acknowledges his past failures, empty pockets, and self-doubt, but comes to a grounding realization: if the future is unwritten either way, betting on your own vision isn't foolish—it's the only way anything meaningful ever gets built.
