NonchalART #01 – Oliver Mark

What does it mean to be an artist? Where does art begin, and where do you find inspiration for your next creation? In the first episode of NonchalART, I spend several days with interdisciplinary artist Oliver Mark from Dortmund, Germany, exploring his creative world and documenting his work across different places, materials, and artistic processes. We join Oliver as he transforms a building façade, step inside his studio while he prepares for an upcoming exhibition, and follow him to a scrap yard — a place where others might see discarded objects, but where he discovers materials, unexpected finds, and new possibilities for his art. From working in public spaces to experimenting in the studio and searching for materials in unexpected places, this film offers an intimate look into Oliver’s artistic practice and the many ways creativity can take shape. NonchalART is a documentary series exploring artists, their working methods, their ideas, and the stories behind their art. It’s about creative processes, unconventional perspectives, and discovering art where you might least expect it. This is the beginning. Welcome to NonchalART. If you enjoyed the video, leave a like, subscribe to the channel, and let me know in the comments what stood out to you most about Oliver’s work. More insights into the world of art coming soon.
