Joe Williams - Baby, Please Don't Go (BSN Stereo Mix)

Released October 20, 1947, this is the original version of “Baby, Please Don’t Go,” by Joe Williams. Williams also wrote “Crawlin’ King Snake” and other tunes picked up by others later. He played a nine-string guitar, which sounds odd (and in this recording, slightly out of tune). His version of “Baby, Please Don’t Go” did not chart, but it has been done by seemingly every rock and roll band in the 1960s. Chart or not, it’s a classic, so here it is in stereo.
