Sometimes what feels like rejection is actually God’s protection. In the final part of Episode 6, Dangling Carrots, I’m sharing three more opportunities that once looked like answered prayers—only for every one of them to fall apart. I had the opportunity to pitch a dessert to a major vegan brand, but they chose someone else. I was approached about an exciting bakery collaboration that never came together. And after doing the work to prepare for a promised investment from a family member, I was left disappointed when they changed their mind. At the time, these situations felt like more closed doors, more hurdles, and more dreams that simply weren’t working out. But looking back, I can see something I couldn’t see then: God knew how tired I was. He knew my heart was changing. He knew what these opportunities would require from me—and He knew what was ahead. Sometimes the thing we call a setback is actually God saying, “I know where this road leads, and I’m not going to let you go there.” If you’ve been facing one closed door after another, I pray this testimony reminds you that every “no” does not mean you failed. Sometimes, you’re being redirected. Sometimes, you’re being spared.
