Hallucinogen - Trancespotter (Remastered)

This popular number was a bonus track on Hallucinogen’s final single on Dragonfly, Space Pussy, which was issued in the summer of 1996. Thugs in Tye Dye was the B-side track, and the CD single also included Trancespotter as a bonus, and at the same time it additionally appeared on Flying Rhino’s first full-length compilation, First Flight. It would a year later be included in the Twisted Records release of the second Hallucinogen album, The Lone Deranger. This groovy track includes a number of hallmark Hallucinogen features, among them vocal samples blended with synthesised riffs programmed to also sound like voices, a strong rhythmic pulse, syncopated accents, refined synth sounds, and impeccably clear textures. Beginning at a somewhat slower pace of 137bpm - more laid back than what had become the norm at the time - the track builds tension through its musical content before a creative and innovative acceleration to 147bpm halfway through, driving through to a powerful conclusion. https://Hallucinogen.lnk.to/Albums_Re...
