It is celebrated over a period of 2 weeks, As Losar draws near, joyous and festive atmosphere permeates Tibetan around the world. Brimming with happiness, Tibetans are busy with purchasing goods for the coming new year, including new clothes, five-colored prayer flag trees, butter sculptures, highland barley seedlings, dried highland barley dyed with different colors as well as various pastries and flowers.
