Woody NEVER Fixed Buzz Lightyear (and the Manual Proves It)

Buzz Lightyear never grew out of thinking he was a real Space Ranger. Toy Story 3 reads his instruction manual out loud, and the manufacturer calls the deluded ranger his "original factory settings" and calls the self-aware Buzz we love the setting you slide away from. Across five films nobody ever talks a Buzz out of it, the only thing that ever flips him is a blow to the head, and the one time Star Command finally answers him it turns out to be a television commercial.
