Dawn of the Machine has been released—a 19-map free expansion for the official Quake remaster, developed by Machine Games—to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of id Software’s legendary game. In this gameplay video, I show the starting map and the first map, Through the First Arch, playing on Nightmare skill. I kill all the monsters, and I think I get all the secrets available at the beginning. I’m not entirely sure how this expansion works right now, but it seems like you need the runes—which you get later on—to unlock the secret I’m missing.
