The Drop || First Time Watching | Movie Reaction and Review | Tom Hardy | James Gandolfini

Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, and James Gandolfini bring their A-game in The Drop (2014), a slow-burn crime thriller that kept me on edge. Directed by Michaël R. Roskam (Bullhead), this film takes us into Brooklyn’s criminal underworld, where a quiet bartender (Hardy) finds himself in over his head. Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road, Bronson, The Dark Knight Rises) delivers a subtle but gripping performance, while Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus) brings depth to her role. And of course, the late James Gandolfini (The Sopranos, True Romance) leaves a lasting impression in his final film. I went in not knowing what to expect... this movie had my heart pumping!!
