Fishing The Plan B Purbecks! With Ben Stockley

🎣 Fishing The Plan B Purbecks! With Ben Stockley 🌊 Welcome back to the Veals Mail Order YouTube channel! In this latest adventure, Fishing The Plan B Purbecks!, we follow top shore angler Ben Stockley as he adapts to changing conditions and makes the best of a challenging day on the coast. Ben had originally planned to fish the legendary Chesil Beach, but when a strong west wind begins to blow, it becomes clear that sticking with Plan A could mean an uncomfortable — and possibly unfishable — session. Rather than waste the day, Ben makes the call to head east in search of a more sheltered mark. His destination? A stunning and secluded spot along the Purbeck coastline, known for its natural beauty and potential to produce a range of different species. With the sun shining and the sea calm, Ben sets his sights on three prized targets: plaice, turbot, and rays. This new location offers exactly the kind of mixed ground and tidal movement that can make for a busy session — but will the fish play ball? 🐟 What to Expect in the Video Ben walks us through how he approaches this Plan B session, from reading the weather and conditions to choosing a mark that gives him the best shot at his target species. Along the way, you'll see: • Ideal rigs and bait for plaice, turbot, and rays • Real-time problem-solving when the original plan goes out the window • A look at the beautiful Purbeck scenery — a bonus for any day out! Ben’s experience and positive approach make this video a great watch, whether you're a seasoned sea angler or new to the sport and looking to learn. 🧰 Fishing Tackle Used by Ben Curious about what gear Ben used in this session? In contrast to wide open beaches like Chesil, the Purbecks offer a chance to tuck out of the wind and still target quality fish. This video highlights just how important it is to have a Plan B, especially when conditions change fast. The mark Ben fishes combines shelter and fish-holding features — everything you want when chasing flatfish and rays from the shore. 👍 Like, Comment & Subscribe for More! Enjoyed the video?
